HEAVY RAINS AND THUNDERSTORM CAUSING FLOODS IN MANY PARTS OF PH
Heavy rain showers and thunderstorms have been experienced in several part of the country on Wednesday brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat. Causing floods and rising of waters on the rivers.

Several roads in Las Piñas and Aurora Boulevard in Cubao were submerged in gutter depth floods. There were also flooded intersections in parts of North Fairview, and Pasay which caused a slowdown in vehicles and traffic. In Pasig, visibility is almost zero due to the intensity of the rain.
A makeshift bridge put up by the residents connecting Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City, Residents to San Mateo Rizal was destroyed after the Marikina River’s water rises due to heavy rain showers.
In Negros Occidental, a lahar flowed along the road in La Castellana two days after the eruption of Mount Kanlaon, the heavy rain washed the volcanic mud and debris through the village.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the experienced rainfalls in various parts of the country was caused by the through of a low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
It forecasted that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Danger level on heat indexes is still expected ranging from 42°C to 45°C in 34 areas in the country on Thursday June 6.
