Job Interview Questions & How to Answer

The key for a successful job interview is to be confident and not to be nervous, being nervous will make you mentally blocked and that will hinder you from answering well and telling what you wanted. You need to know yourself more than everybody else, you cannot answer these questions if you don’t know the answer yourself.

Some of the common questions/statement during an interview are:

• Please tell me something about yourself…

• Start with your name, your place information, education in short, job experience if any, and tell why are you qualified for the job. 

• What are your strengths?

• Adaptable, Multitasker, Resourceful; describe strengths that is in line with the position you’re applying for that will highlight your skills.

• What are your weaknesses?

• Impatient, talkative, sensitive; describe a genuine weakness and put a positive twist on it and what are you doing to improve it.

• What are your career goals?

• Short-term goal and long-term goals. Talk about desire to learn more and improve your performance. Be specific as possible how will you meet the goals you have set.

• Why do you wat to work with our company?

• Tell what you like about the company, find out what you know about the company, industry and position. Relate it to your career goals. Before going to the interview, read or research something about the company.

• What are your salary requirements?

• Say you’d like more into the job duties and responsibilities before you answer. In situation where actual number is expected, provide a fair salary range based on current industry market. 

• Why should I hire you?

• Share your work track record/related experiences, and be confident. Share your best interest about the job you are applying.

• Do you have any questions to ask me?

• Express thanks, ask what you wanted to know job timing, job location, timing period, salary structure; shake hands and say thanks with a genuine smile.
