The Regional office is communicating with the principal of the school and the said teacher. According to the initial information, the teacher's personal life was being attacked, so she got angry like that.
The video is directly from the teacher's account, and in relates to the policy on use of social media accounts for DepEd employees. A teacher cannot go live on social media platforms based on DepEd Order Number 49 or the Professionalism in the Implementation and Delivery of Basic Education Programs and Services.
DepEd also has a Child Protection policy state that ''any act by deeds or words that debases, degrades, or demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of a child as a human being'' is considered child abuse. And so far, no one has complained against the teacher, only the netizens from the social media.
The teacher was given a show cause order giving her 72 hours to explain her actions. DepEd is still trying to verify what is really the reason behind the teacher's viral video.
The investigation will be subject to due process and the teacher's right to explain her side. Also, according to ASec. Bringas did not stop the teacher from teaching and no punishment or sanction was given to the teacher because nothing has been proven yet.
The video went viral because of the teacher's use of hurtful words and netizens perceive it is wrong.
