"All I want is for our complainant to have justice because it hurts my heart to walk around outside, proud that I'm from TV5, by the way, we have an associate at TV5 who did something wrong, and yet , we cannot discipline,” he added.
TV5 has released a statement addressing the issue, “TV5 management is aware of the matter regarding an alleged incident between a TV5 employee and an independent contractor.”
“We have released the necessary Notice to Explain and are conducting an investigation to determine the facts so we may take the appropriate action. We have reached out to the persons concerned and are gathering information. Rest assured that the rights and welfare of all parties will be protected,” it stated.

According to the Government Procurement Policy Board, more than 420 cases of sexual harassment in the workplace were reported to the Philippine National Police from 2016 to 2021.
“We artists here, want to inform you that sexual harassment is happening in our industry. I have read many cases that happen in other offices and governments," according to Senator Robin Padilla.
Senator Padilla has filed Senate Bill No. 2777 that sought amendments to Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law. And proposing harsher penalties for sexual assault, including life imprisonment or the death penalty in aggravated cases. He cited a study in 2017 showing that sexual abuse not only affects women.
“By doing so, we can be more certain that our laws are stronger, more gender-responsive, and progressive, especially in these changing times,” Padilla said.
