The call of many netizens following the viral video of a dog being chased, beaten with a wood and put in a bag in Bato, Camarines Sur. According to the suspect, the dog hurt and bit someone, so it was killed.

The three-year-old golden retriever, Killua, escaped from their home and hurt a passing resident who immediately sought help from his neighbor. The suspect chased Killua and hit him with a wood.
When the owner saw Killua again, he was bagged and lifeless. Condolences and calls for justice poured into social media for the tragedy that befell Killua. The person who beat the dog told the barangay that he did not really intend to kill the dog.
"The dog crossed the road and when we saw the old man being attacked, he actually came back and strangled me. Fortunately, this is the only wound on my foot, after that, it enters our store. Two people have been bitten, the old man, me and my wife, so I did it."

According to the Animal Welfare Act, the abuse and mistreatment of domesticated animals such as dogs is prohibited.
In violation to the Animal Welfare Act, since the dog died, the penalty will be 1 day, six months, one year to two years imprisonment and a fine of up to P100,000.
