SEVERAL MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS ALONG SLEX DUE TO OIL SPILL

Saturday morning a tanker truck crashed onto a concrete post traveling the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), leaving behind an oil spill that resulted in several motorcycle accidents.
The truck accident happened around 8:10 a.m. in Pasay City. Traversing the southbound lane of the expressway the vehicle with plate number UKS170 struck a concrete post at ground level on the Skyway, spilling oil into both lanes.
Police and ambulance assisted and respond on the injured motorcycle riders and directing the traffic it causes. Both lanes are reportedly passable, just before noon.
Injured riders were taken to the healthcare facility in Villamor Air Base.
On a video posted by Mao Dela Cruz on Super Radyo DZBB, due to the oil spill several motorcycles reportedly crashed and skidded. Some of the motorcycle riders had an injury including a cut to the area between their eyebrows and a concussion to the forehead.
The driver was identified as Bernie Rivas a resident of Muntinlupa City, according to SPD Director Police Brigadier General Mark Pespes.
The incident is currently being investigated by the SPD.
