Motorists are also reminded to renew their license on the set schedule of LTO. License renewal is scheduled from April 15 to April 30, 2024 with an expiration date from April 1 to August 31, 2023 and April 1 to April 30, 2024.
In May 1 to May 31, 2024 the expiration was September 1 to December 31, 2023 and May 1 to May 31, 2024. On June 1 to June 30, 2024, the renewal of expired licenses from January 1 to March 31, 2024 and June 1 to June 30, 2024.
When the writ of preliminary injunction was issued by a Quezon City court, Banner Plastic Card Inc., the winning bidder, had already supplied about two million plastic cards.
Mendoza stated that after the CA lifted a writ of preliminary injunction issued by a Quezon City court last year, ruling in favor of the Department of Transportation and the LTO through the Office of the Solicitor General, at least one million plastic cards were delivered to the LTO central office on March 25.
In order to distribute the plastic cards to district offices and satellite offices across the country, Mendoza had given the regional directors instructions to work with the LTO central office.
Mendoza stated that the LTO would be able to reduce the backlog following the guaranteed delivery of the final 3.2 million plastic cards.
