The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) warns against the use of marijuana flavored e-cigarettes or vapes. About P842,000 worth of cannabis oil, marijuana kush and vapes were seized from the two suspects in Taguig.
The PDEA also said that they also intercepted 18 balikbayan boxes containing only cannabis oil and kush containing more than P300 million worth of vape in the port area in Manila last week.
Marijuana oil cartridges are being sold and smuggled, showing a rising domestic market for these goods. PDEA stated in a statement that it is concerned that these cannabis extracts may be marketed to younger customers under false pretenses as legal vape aerosols, given that young people make up the majority of the vaping community.
The government warned against using e-cigarettes that were packed with marijuana because of the health risks and the fact that the law prohibits it.
