PASSENGER JEEPNEY PLOWED INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLES, 10 INJURED

At the intersection of Claro M. Recto Avenue and Reina Regente Street in Binondo Manila, CCTV footage shows a passenger jeepney plowing into cars and motorcycles on the road. According to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the area is accident prone especially at night.

It can be seen that an e-tricycle advanced from Recto Avenue and a female passenger fell, who was then hit by the following passenger jeep and a man was dragged and rolled by the jeep.

After this, the jeep collided with a motorcycle and an elf truck. According to the rescuers, ten were injured in the accident, two of them are in serious condition. According to the driver of the crashed e- tricycle they were just hit by a jeep.

Authorities immediately responded on the incident treated the victims, they were taken to three different hospitals but four did not want to be taken to the hospital. Two were quite serious injuries, the others had possible fractures according to the MDRRMO.

Two motorbikes, two e- tricycle, and an elf truck collided with a jeepney after allegedly losing its brakes. The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit is holding the jeepney driver who will face a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to properties and physical injuries.
