PAGASA: COLDER DAYS COMING; EASTERLIES TO BRING CLOUDY SKIES WITH RAIN SHOWERS

The northeast monsoon or amihan season could begin next week that signals the onset of colder weather associated with Christmas. Amihan season usually starts between the second week of October and mid-November according to the state weather bureau.
On Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) estimations, possible by next week the amihan season will start.
For the meantime, easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific were affecting Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas which could bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers. While the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the localized thunderstorms.
Chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms nationwide ca be expected. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or sudden downpours due to thunderstorms will be experienced in Luzon, as well as in Visayas and Mindanao.
Meanwhile, no low-pressure area is being monitored by the state weather bureau within the Philippine area of responsibility. And a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards was not raised on Wednesday.
On the other hand, PAGASA reported that two gates at Magat Dam were open continues releasing water which is located between Ifugao and Isabela that currently has 188.62 meters of reservoir water level (RWL). PAGASA said that all gates were already closed at Binga Dam and Ambuklao Dam which are both in Benguet Province.
