OVERTAKING KILL LIVES, ROAD MISHAPS ON SEVERAL PROVINCES

Various accidents have occurred in recent days including a bus that caught fire and accidents that killed three individuals. Parcels are gone missing when a truck crashed into a meat shop.

Passengers of a bus rushed to get off after the bus they were riding in caught fire in Matnog Sorsogon. The bus stopped in the middle of Maharlika Highway as the engine emitted thick smoke. Firefighters responded and doused the fire with water and are still investigating the cause of the fire.

A truck overturned along the Maharlika National Highway in Aritao Nueva Vizcaya. In addition to the accident, a shop was hit by a truck, six were injured including the driver and a passenger. According to the police, the driver made a mistake while turning on the curved part of the road, causing the accident.

The motorcycle was going straight when it suddenly swerved along Recto Avenue in Cagayan de Oro City, at the same time a truck passed by and the female rider was thrown. The victim died on arrival at the hospital, according to the rider, he was supposed to take his wife to work after the accident.

In Dapitan City, a woman was killed after the motorcycle she was riding was hit by a bus. The woman overtook another vehicle and crashed into the bus and didn’t reach the hospital alive according to the police.

A 15-year-old boy was killed when an elf truck loaded with fish allegedly hit the motorcycle the boy was riding in Zamboanga City. Based on the investigation, the truck and motorcycle were traversing in the same direction when the truck overtook and hit the motorcycle.

A delivery truck carrying various parcels crashed into a meat shop when the driver attempted to avoid a collision with an oncoming truck causing it to hit to a tree and crash into the shop. Parcels were missing after they were strewn onto the street and was stolen by unidentified individuals during the commotion.
