MMDA SUSPENDS NUMBER CODING SCHEME FOR THURSDAY JULY 25

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the implementation of Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) is suspenden in July 25 (Thursday).
Following Malacanang's announcement that there will be no work in government offices and all school levels in Metro Manila, Region III and Region IV-A due to the continued rain caused by typhoon Carina and Southwest Monsoon.
The MMDA reminded the motorists to “Avoid traveling unless necessary. Be double careful when driving because of the slippery roads brought by the rain.”
Late Wednesday when Malacañang announced that work in government offices and classes at all levels in Regions III (Central Luzon), IV-A (Calabarzon), and the National Capital Region (NCR) are suspended on July 25.
This is in view of the continuos rainfall brought about by the enhanced Southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina, and to aid in the rescue, recovery, relief, and rehabilitation of the government and the private sector.
"However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services," the statement read.
“The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads," it added.
