MARCOS REVEALS ADMIN’S 12 SENATORIAL SLATE FOR 2025

The 12 prospective senatorial candidates under Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas for the 2025 midterm elections were announced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during a political event at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
The 12 senatorial candidates came from different political positions and parties including reelectionists, Cabinet members, and former senators, Partido Federal ng Filipinas, Nationalist People’s Coalition, Lakas-CMD, and Nacionalista Party.
Senatorial lineup for Halalan 2025 endorsed by Marcos for Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Coalition:
- DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr.
- Makati Mayor Abby Binay
- Senator (reelectionist) Pia Cayetano
- Former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson
- Senator (reelectionist) Lito Lapid
- Senator (reelectionist) Imee Marcos
- Former Senator Manny Pacquiao
- Senator (reelectionist) Bong Revilla
- Former Senate President Tito Sotto
- Senator (reelectionist) Francis Tolentino
- ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo
- Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar
Abby Binay, Camille Villar, Erwin Tulfo, and DILG Benhur Abalos are seeking first terms in the Senate, while the rest of the candidates have experience in the Senate.
The newly-formed political coalition “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas” will “unite the broadest force of those who love the country.” According to Marcos "With my endorsement, my only wish is for them to maintain their loyalty and love for the country. This is the most important quality I look for in a candidate.”
“What is important here is that they really support and believe that the platform of Bagong Pilipinas, it will improve the lives of every Filipino,” Marcos stated.
Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said that the voter registration will no longer be extended which is set to end on September 30, and that the current period is already enough time for Filipinos to register.
