The toll will be increased by P1 for Class 1 vehicles, P2 for Class 2, and P3 for Class 3. This means that the toll will be P19 for Class 1, P39 for Class2, and will reach P58 if Class 3.
The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) clarify that the said toll hike is not sudden.
“If you remember, this is the one that was previously approved for 2018 and 2023 last year, where the implementation was divided when the toll rate was approved, it should have implemented once last year, the implementation of toll adjustments was divided so that it would not be too heavy for the motorists”, Julius Corpuz of TRB said.
It is said that the additional toll will help a lot to improve the service in MCX where the average of daily traffic of vehicles reaches 51,324.
“It will enable the investor operator to properly operate and maintain our Muntinlupa Cavite Expressway in accordance with the required standard and also to introduce needed improvement and future expansions”, Corpuz added.
