MALACAÑANG SUSPENDS CLASS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICES IN NCR

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced the suspension of government work and classes in public and private schools in all levels in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, September 2, 2024 due to heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm (TS) Enteng and the southwest monsoon.
The Office of the Executive Secretary stated "In view of the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm 'Enteng,' classes in public and private schools at all levels within the National Capital Region on 02 September 2024 are hereby suspended."
“The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads,” it added.
The Quezon City Government has also declared suspension of work due to inclement weather caused by Typhoon Enteng. The Department of Education in Bicol region announced classes in public schools in the Bicol Region under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal due to Enteng are automatically suspended.
Following are the list of suspended classes for September 02 (Monday):
All levels, public and private: Camarines Sur, Northern Samar, Kidapawan Cotabato, Sorsogon City, Cavite, Rizal, Quezon Province, Laguna, Northern Samar, Province of Batangas, San Fernando Pampanga, Angeles Pampanga, Bataan, Camarines Norte, San Pascual Masbate, Caloocan, Las Pinas, Malabon, Makati, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina City, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque City, Pasay, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, Valenzuela, and Sibalom Antique.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) also announced cancelled flights for September 02: PAL Express (2P) - 2P 2921/2922 Manila-Daraga-Manila and 2P 2671/2672 Manila-Calbayog-Manila.
CebGo (DG): DG 6193/6194 Manila-Daraga-Manila, DG 6177/6178 Manila-Masbate-Manila, DG 6031/6032 Manila-San Jose-Manila, and DG 6118 Naga-Manila.
Cebu Pacific (5J): 5J 321/322: Manila – Legazpi (Daraga) – Manila, 5J 325/326: Manila – Legazpi (Daraga) – Manila, and 5J 821/822: Manila – Virac – Manila.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the implementation of expanded number coding on Monday (September 2) due to inclement weather.
