LRT, MRT REVISED OPERATING SCHEDULE FOR HOLIDAY SEASON

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced schedule adjustments for Metro Manila major train lines in preparation for the expected surge in passengers for the upcoming holiday rush.
The revised operating schedules which include earlier start times and extended evening operations, aim to provide greater convenience to commuters while allowing rail employees time for holiday celebrations.
Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 and Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 will extend operating hours starting December 16 to cater to more commuters for Christmas and New Year.
"On select days, our trains will operate earlier in the morning and later into the night to offer greater convenience to passengers during the holiday season. These adjustments will also allow our rail employees more time to spend with their families as they celebrate the holidays,” DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista said.
MRT Line 3 (North Avenue to Taft Avenue)
December 16-24 and December 31: First train departs North Avenue at 4:30 a.m.
December 16-23: Last trains depart North Avenue at 10:34 p.m. and Taft Avenue at 11:08 p.m.
LRT Line 2 (Antipolo to Recto)
December 17-23, 24 and 31: First train departs Antipolo at 5:00 a.m.
Regular operating hours resume on December 25-30 and January 1 onwards.
LRT Line 1 (Dr. Santos to Fernando Poe Jr. Stations)
December 20, 23 and 26-27: First trains depart both terminus stations at 4:30 a.m.
December 20 and 23: Last trains leave Dr. Santos at 10:30 p.m. and FPJ Station at 10:45 p.m.
The DOTr advised passengers to refer to the revised train schedules to ensure smooth travel during the bustling holiday period.
