JEEPNEY ACCIDENT IN TERNATE CAVITE, 3 KILLED

Three people were killed after a jeepney overturned and collided with two motorcycles in Ternate, Cavite. Captured in the video on the dashcam in the back of a vehicle, a jeepney can be seen speeding. It runs along part of the Ternate-Nasugbu Road in Cavite past five in the afternoon this weekend.
According to reports, the jeepney was speeding and overtaking and it lost control and overturned and collided with oncoming motorcycles. The jeep counter flowed and overtook until it crashes with two motorcycles. Due to the impact of collision, the riders were killed including one of the passengers.
Among the person killed was an active member of Philippine Marines. According to the jeepney driver, he checked the vehicle before leaving but when he got to the downhill road, he lost his breaks.
The family that was on their way home to Manila from their outing riding in the jeepney was injured. According to P/SMS. Alfredo Guevarra Jr. of the Chief Investigator Ternate MPS, “They got up normally, his driving was normal. They are almost down to the plateau. There was a mechanical problem, the break was lost, according to the driver, the break was lost. What he really wanted to crash it and is looking for a space where he could crash and by chance two motorcycles suddenly appeared.”
The driver has apologized to the families of the victims but is facing reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and damage to property.
