The state weather bureau reported that no tropical cyclone in sight following Typhoon "Julian" and that an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and easterlies are affecting the country. The ITCZ is mostly affecting Visayas and Mindanao.

According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) bulletin, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may be experience in Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan due to ITCZ. Which may cause possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

While Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to easterlies. That may brought possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Moreover, the ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of country with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

In its wind condition forecast, Northern and Central Luzon will have a moderate to strong wind speed from East to Northeast. Light to moderate speed in Visayas and the rest of Luzon with direction from Northeast to Northwest. And Mindanao wind speed is light to moderate from Southwest to West

In a thunderstorm advisory released by Pagasa, moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Cavite, Laguna, Zambales and Bataan on Saturday.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” it stated.

Typhoon "Julian," also known as Krathon storm killed two people in Taiwan and five when it ravaged Batanes and other northern regions in the country.
