'HELLO, LOVE, AGAIN' SETS RECORD OF P85M SALES ON OPENING DAY

"Hello, Love, Again" the movie starring Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, earned more than P85 million on its opening day, setting a new record for a local film kickstarting at the box office.
The collaboration film between GMA Pictures and ABS-CBN was released in Philippine cinemas on Wednesday, the record was confirmed by the two production houses through a joint post on Instagram.
In a statement, Alden expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the public. “Maraming salamat sa mga excited mapanood muli ang kwento ni Joy at Ethan. Napakasaya namin and we’re very proud of this film and we’re very excited for you guys to see it.”
Kathryn meanwhile shared her hopes that audiences will feel the love in watching the film. “Just like what Direk Cathy said, ang pangako lang namin sa inyo sa pelikulang ito puso ang ibibigay namin. So I hope after watching this film yun ang maramdaman nyo di lang kay Joy and Ethan kungdi dahil sa buong pelikula.”
The sequel to 2019's "Hello, Love, Goodbye," both of them directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, opened midnight screenings in 70 theaters around the Philippines.
"Hello, Love, Again" marked the highest opening gross for a local movie. The film was shown in 656 local cinemas, the highest number for a local film. Overall, the movie will be shown in 1,000 cinemas worldwide.
