DAVAO DE ORO PROVINCIAL ROAD ACCIDENT

A conductor was killed after a bus crushed into a parked container van in Monkayo Davao de Oro, while 22 passengers were injured.
According to the investigation, it was said that the bus driver did not notice the container van parking in the inner lane, because the engine broke down. The two drivers were brought to the police station to determine who should be held responsible for the incident.
Based on the initial reports, past 4 a.m. on Sunday when the accident happened along the national highway of Barangay Baylo in Monkayo Davao de Oro. The truck had to stop on the road due to an engine malfunction, and the bus was on its way from Davao City.
In GMA’s Regional report, the investigation states that the container van’s signage is not that visible on the road. The driver put an improvised signage using leaves that made the bus driver surprised. According to PCL Mark Lozarita traffic investigator of Monkayo Police, the truck parked along the highway doesn’t have clear sign.
Riann Mamusog 32-year-old was identified as the bus conductor that was killed. For medical treatment, the 22 injured individuals were taken to the regional hospital in Davao de Oro.
