CHINA AND PHILIPPINES AGREEMENT, FABRICATED STORY
The Department of National Defense and the National Security Council rejected the alleged new agreement with China to ease the tension in Ayungin Shoal. The Spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy announced that the Philippines and China agreed this year on the so-called new model related to the tension in Ayungin Shoal.
According to the Chinese Embassy, it was allegedly approved by Philippine chain of command officials including Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro and National Security Adviser Eduardo Año.

Teodoro strongly rejected the alleged new agreement with China and the Chinese government should stop this fabricated story. Teodoro insisted that the DND has not communicated with the Chinese Embassy since he took office in July 2023.
Again he said that he spoke to Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian through courtesy calls to his office but nothing was discussed about any agreement between the Philippines and China. Teodoro added, China is spreading false news to intimidate the Filipinos and to reduce the tension in the harassment of the Filipinos by the Chinese in the West Philippine Sea.
Año called the proposed new model of the Chinese Embassy ridiculous, Año insisted that no government official was empowered by President Marcos Jr. to enter into any kind of agreement with China.
The secretary of the Chinese Embassy even said that it will not fool the Filipinos with their fabricated stories to cover up the bullying and harassment they are doing in the West Philippine Sea.
Año added that the Chinese Embassy is spreading fake news to cover up China's plan to build an artificial island in Pagasa Island.
The agreement entered into by former President Rodrigo Duterte with the Chinese government related to Bajo de Masinloc. The Chinese Embassy made public last weekend the details of the temporary special arrangement that Duterte entered into when the former President visited China in 2016.
According to the Chinese Embassy, Filipinos are allowed to fish with small boats but they are not allowed to enter the reef itself. Duterte agreed to prohibit the AFP, Philippine Coast Guard, and other Philippine ships within 12 nautical miles and air space of Bajo de Masinloc.
