BINI DAZZLES AT THE HISTORIC FIRST APPEARANCE ON KCON LA 2024

Nation’s girl group BINI made history as the first P-pop group to perform at the KCON LA 2024 music festival. Performing their newly released hit song “Cherry on Top” at the stage of Crypto.com Arena in the United States.

KCON LA 2024 held a three-day concert and convention and is known as the largest K-pop music festival featuring the biggest acts and rising stars of K-pop.

And included in the events lineup as a performer is the phenomenal girl group from the Philippines having their first appearance on KCON for the pre-show of the “M Countdown” stage.

Some of the K-pop stars that perform at the Crypto Arena were ENHYPEN, NMIXX, STAYC, ZEROBASEONE, P1Harmony, BOYNEXTDOOR, among others. The girl group member at the same time a fan got a chance to interact and make a TikTok video with the members of ENHYPEN.

According to Filipino-American journalist and KCON LA moderator/emcee/panelist for programming, Lai Frances, “Seeing P-pop rise feels like you’re rooting for your home team. I hope this transcends P-pop to a global level where not only them would open the minds and hearts of fans in K-pop and beyond. P-pop is here. And P-pop is here to stay. Although P-pop has existed in the Philippines, it’s going to rise around the world.” 

Meanwhile, group leader BINI Jhoanna wasn’t able to perform on the event due to unanticipated health issues based on the announcement on BINI’s official social media pages.

Furthermore, the Grand BINIVerse will be moved to a two-night show on November 16 and 17 in the Araneta Coliseum which was supposed to be on October 4.
