According to the authorities, the driver of the van may not have noticed the approaching train due to the rain.
According to the Daraga Municipal Police Station (MPS), “The only signage there is slow down, but according to PNR, that intersection is illegal. They say they don't have clearance, because it is said that PNR have a railroad there first.”
On the other hand, in Barangay Pinaric, Legazpi City, a newly opened food stall in a commercial building was being blessed when a sudden explosion occurred. 35 individuals were injured on the incident, some sustained cuts and burns on their body.
