9TH ASTEROID HIT THE EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE SPOTTED IN NORTHERN LUZON

A small asteroid light up the sky early Thursday morning that was witnessed in in Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. On the video uploaded by a netizen, the celestial event occurred at 12:39 a.m.
Hours before the asteroid struck the Earth’s atmosphere, the International Meteor Organization (IMO) has reported that a newly discovered asteroid is set to light up the eastern coast of Northern Luzon before 12:40 a.m. Thursday local time.
The ESA stated, “Thanks to new observations, we now have a very good idea of where it will impact. It will strike Earth's atmosphere over the Philippines near Luzon Island.”
One-meter asteroid CAQDTL2 was discovered by the Mt. Lemmon Survey in the early hours of September 4 that will create a very bright and slow fireball.
According to the European Space Agency, the asteroid which is around one meter in size, “The object is harmless, but people in the area may see a spectacular fireball!” While, meteorites or parts of the asteroid may reach the ground or ocean.
“This is just the ninth asteroid that humankind has ever spotted before impact,” the ESA said.
