8 VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A ROAD ACCIDENT IN MINDANAO AVENUE QUEZON CITY, 3 INJURED

Past eight o'clock on Monday night, a 14-wheeler truck landed on the center island on Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City where the front end was flattened and the windshield was broken after having an accident.
According to the Quezon City Police District Traffic Sector 6, three people were injured in the car accident involving eight vehicles. The truck first hit a van before hitting the oil tanker truck. Five other vehicles including an armored vehicle, two elf trucks, and two AUVs were also involved in the vehicular incident.
According to one of the car drivers, he was waiting for the traffic light to go when he was suddenly hit by a 14-wheeler. The driver of the 14-wheeler truck and its colleague fled, while the other survived after jumping from the truck.
The 20-years-old porter of the truck who suffered injuries to his knees, hands and arm said that, “Tinanggal ko po 'yung lock nu'ng pinto ko saka po ako sumabit doon sa sabitan. Ang nangyari po naigilid niya pakaliwa kaya po humampas 'yung pinaka pinto doon sa may Hi-Ace. Nu'ng humampas po sa Hi-Ace naramdaman ko po. Ang ginawa ko po pumikit na lang po ako saka po ako bumitaw saka noon po nagdire-diretso doon sa tanker."
"Nung nag-stop po 'yung mga sasakyan siyempre po nagpreno na driver ko. May tumunog po sa truck namin. Doon po siya sumigaw na wala pong preno, pumislit na raw po," added the porter.
The 14-wheeler was coming from Bulacan and was delivering the loaded feeds in Cavite when the accident happened. When it arrived at Mindanao Avenue, the truck lost its brakes.
A 53-year-old woman who sells rags in the center island was also injured. The driver of the 14-wheeler is in police custody while the investigation continues.
