2025 ELEKSYON VOTERS NOW CLOSE TO 69 MILLION – COMELEC

Philippines’ registered voters for the 2025 midterm national and local elections (NLE) and Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections is now close to 69 million, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec’s latest records showed that the voters for next year’s polls tallied at 68,618,667 as of October 31. With Region IV-A (Calabarzon) topping the highest number of registrants with 9,764,170.
It was followed by Region III (Central Luzon) with 7,712,535 registered voters; National Capital Region (NCR) with 7,562,858; Regions VII (Central Visayas) and V (Bicol Region) came in fourth and fifth at 4,407,337 and 4,066,662, respectively.
On the other hand, Cordillera Administrative Region with 1,111,859 voters and Caraga (Region XIII) with 1,889,616 voters recorded the lowest number of registered voters.
Of the figures, a total of 33,690,884 were male and 34,927,783 were female. A total of 1,667 office of election officers (OEO) received the registrations. The total is higher than the May 2022 national polls with 65,745,526 voters and the village and Sangguniang Kabataan (youth) elections in October last year with 67,839,861.
The poll body also reported 532,837 applicant hits detected through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said these cases are “likewise subject to the removal of double or multiple registrants per AFIS.”
The voter registration period for the May 2025 midterm polls started on February 12, and ended on September 30.
