The much-anticipated Filipino film “Hello, Love, Again” starring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo has been selected as the closing film for this year’s Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) in Los Angeles.

This was confirmed in the festival’s official website, where the romantic drama will be screened on November 20 at the Culver Theater in California, United States. The festival announced that it kick off on November 13 with the South Korean drama “A Normal Family” as the opening film. It will be closed by “Hello, Love, Again” on November 20.

Other films included are “In the Mood for Love” (Hong Kong), “The Wrestler” (Bangladesh), “Meeting with Pol Pot” (Cambodia), “The Antique” (Georgia), “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” (Hong Kong), “Lost Ladies” (India), and more.

ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures’ groundbreaking film collaboration is the sequel to their 2019 blockbuster hit "Hello, Love, Goodbye." It continues the story five years after Joy left Hong Kong for Canada.

The Asian World Film Festival is described as a “cross-cultural collaboration” and aims to “celebrate exceptional Asian filmmakers and strengthen cultural ties between the Asian and Hollywood film industries.”

“The festival is supported by patrons from the diverse Asian communities in Los Angeles as well as general audience members who are passionate about foreign and independent cinema,” it added.

Bernardo and Richards, as well as filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Sampana, will grace the screening. The film will have a midnight screening in 72 cinemas across the Philippines on November 13 and is likewise set to show across US and Canada beginning November 15 and is slated to have the widest North American release to date for a Filipino film.
