Adulting 101: Easiest Valid ID's To Get
Planning to at least have one valid ID as you enter adulthood? Or in case you needed it for something? Here are some of government ID's that are easy to get for starters!
Actually, almost of the valid ID's now have an online transaction before processing it on the physical offices or branches for faster and convenient transaction.
NBI Clearance
One of the primary requirements for hiring employers. An online transaction through their website https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/ is needed first for an appointment schedule. If you're a first time job seeker, there's no fee to pay. This will be valid for 1 year so make sure to use it before it expires.
Requirements:
- Valid ID / National ID / Birth Certificate (PSA)
Postal ID
Fastest valid ID you can get, application costs P504 for first-time and 15 working days before you can get it. If you needed it immediately, P650 is needed for three to four working days.
Requirements:
- Proof of identity: PSA Birth Certificate / Valid ID
- Proof of address: Certificate of Residency / utility bill / bank statement issued within three months on application
Passport
It is actually east to get a passport, it's just a matter of time and this cost more than P900 and you have to wait for 6-12 working days. This is valid for 10-years unlike other valid ID's, and this is necessary if you want to go travel to other country. First needed to book for an appointment and choose a branch nearest to you https://www.passport.gov.ph/
Requirements:
- Approved online appointment
- Yourself/personal appearance
- Accomplished application form
- PSA Birth Certificate (Original and photocopy)
- Acceptable ID's with one photocopy (School ID minors, voter's ID, SSS card, GSIS card, Driver's License, Postal ID, National ID)
TIN ID
Visit the nearest branch of BIR and bring valid ID or PSA Birth Certificate for students. For students or first time getting a TIN ID doesn't need to pay a fee and expect the ID after 3-5 working days.
Requirements:
- 1x1 picture
- Valid ID / PSA Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Residency
- Accomplished application form
